Jacy Meyer is a freelance journalist living in Prague. Previously from Arizona, she has a degree in Broadcast Communications and spent many years in community relations for a number of organizations, including retail and non-profit. Her previous news writing stints have included a national newswire service and two television stations.
Since moving to Prague in 2004, she has contributed to a number of international and local publications, including The New York Times, International Herald Tribune, Christian Science Monitor, Business New Europe, JetAway, The Prague Post, Czech Position, Expats.cz, The New Presence and Prague Monitor Magazine. She is the editor of Prague In Your Pocket and has worked with three publishers on guidebooks to Prague and the Czech Republic: Time Out, Fodor's and Rough Guides. Other experience includes writing the Insider's Guide to Prague for Australian website Ninemsn as well as the Prague hotel reviews for EuroCheapo.
She has experience writing and editing for non-native English speakers; gained online and social media experience while Content Manager for Expats.cz and editing experience as Editor of Fast Lane, a quarterly lifestyle magazine. Jacy prefers having a wide range of subjects to muse over and lists travel, culture, design and architecture amongst her credits, as well as business and education.
